In here sympatrically occurring with L. gueriniana, which according to Kramer (1971), might just be an extreme form of that variable species. New to the Philippines. Previously known only from Sulawesi.
  23. Lindsaea philippinensis Kramer. --Isoloma angustum (Copel.) Tard., comb. superfl.; non L. angusta Copel. (1952). According to Kramer (1971), doubtfully distinct from L. jamesonioides Baker of Sabah. Photos

Doubtful species

  1. Lindsaea decrescens Copel. “As stated by Copeland, this is intermediate between L. repens (‘L. macraena, L. longa’) and L. fissa. The isotype in MICH from Copeland’s herbarium is rather scrappy. I doubt whether it represents a distinct species” –Kramer, Fl. Males. Ser. ii 1 (1971) 253.
  2. Lindsaea longa Copel. Probably only an usually deeply incised form of L. repens (Bory) Thwaites var. sessilis (Copel.) Kramer.

Doubtful occurrence in the Philippines:

  1. Selliguea hastata (Thunb.) Copel.; --Crypsinus hastatus (Thunb.) Copel.;  --Phymatopteris hastata (Thunb.) Pic.-Serm. India, China, Japan. In the Philippines known only from LUZON: Benguet. Epiphytic or lithophytic, alt. c. 2400m. According to Hovenkamp et.al. [Fl. Males. ser. 2, 3 (1998) 227], simple fronded plants from the Philippines have been identified as Phymatopteris hastata by Zamora & Co [Guide to Philipp. Flora & Fauna 2 (1986) 29], and that other than through this reference, P. hastata is not known from the Philippines.  This is incorrect as Copeland (Fern Fl. Philipp. 2 (1960) 505) reported this species to be common in Benguet at 2400 m.
